Microsoft to organize conventions for small business segment

With the objective of enabling small businesses realize their full potential through technology, Microsoft Corporation India has announced the roll-out
of its four-city small business CEO conventions. Starting in Mumbai, the convention will also be conducted in the cities of Chennai, New Delhi and
Bangalore.

Targeted at the small business segment, the interactive convention will seek to provide an in-depth perspective on the key
business issues and challenges that small businesses face. The topics covered will range from understanding
essentials of business finance and growth strategies for businesses for building operational excellence and achieving higher productivity
levels. 

The interactive forum will be complimented by a solutions café to showcase critical business solutions for the small businesses,
including applications like financial accounting, ERP and focused vertical solutions.
Consultants and financial advisors who understand the needs of the small businesses and provide overall direction on strategies for growth will
deliver focused sessions at the convention. 

Commenting on the convention roll-out, Microsoft Corporation's Business Development Manager, Punit Vanvaria says "Our
research shows that in the face of increasing competition, CEOs of small businesses are increasingly
realizing the need for integration of IT in the overall business process to build competitive advantage. Keeping this need in mind, we designed these
multi-city conventions for small business CEOs, wherein in together with industry experts and SMB consultants, we seek to address the key business
issues they face and enable them to leverage technology for realizing their business potential."
