"Life gives us ample opportunities" is the adage that motivates Rajlakshmi in striving hard and steadily climbing up the ladder. She firmly believes in learning something new every day. I have enjoyed every bit of my professional journey, in the process I met some great mentors who helped groom me during the growing up years. It was a lot of hard work, but every year was different. When I look back, I realized, I had never focused on the destination of what and where I wanted to be. I was so full of ideas and wanting to try out different initiatives, that I was busy lapping up every opportunity that came my way to showcase ideas and talent. I think it is up to us to make good use of them and I am very glad, I did. 

The educational background

She has a Master's Degree in Business Administration with Specialization in Human Resources and professional certificates in HR as well.

Your Family Background

Rajlakshm hails from a traditional Tamil family background with strong values inculcated in her right from childhood. She has two beautiful daughters and her husband and she completely dotes on them, keeping the freshness alive in life.

Working in male-dominated field of IT...

"I don't know if it is male-dominated field or not, I see a lot of women in the various forums that I network in. Irrespectively, I don't think this aspect has ever impacted me in my life, " says Rajlakshmi matter of factly.

Does a glass ceiling exist?

A glass celing is still a concern. However, Rajlakshmi belives that how you perceive it and deal with it is what matters. Although she has not seen or experienced it so far. She also says that there is no smoke without fire, so it must be there.

Advice to working Women

For a working women striking a balance and simultaneously acheiving their goals becomes a challenge. Rajlakshmi has wonderfully achieved this no mean feat. She says with her lovely smile, "Working women or not, I think it is important to have clarity in what you want to do in Life. If you have this clarity, the chances of feeling upset when things go wrong are less. Acceptance is another most important trait that one needs to develop. Accepting what the situation is and being happy does wonders. You need to see inside out, rather than the other way. Travel more, experience every moment, laugh more, keep smiling and you will see how the world is always a wonderful place to live in."

Hobbies

Traveling is a dear passion for her and Rajlakshmi misses no chances of traveling. She loves to travel across the world. Simply put, travelling for her is a mix of both education and experience.

Future Plans

Professionally, Rajlakshmi enjoys what she does and will continue to grow in the HR field. On the personal front, completing her PhD is a goal that she has set for herself.
