Molex Premise Networks has launched the 50-port 1U-voice patch panel, which it says, will help in the termination of vertical cabling. The product is designed to utilize the minimum rack/cabinet space to support UTP 4, 25 or 50 pair cables in a voice backbone.
This panel can support one or two pair connectivity as well as analogue digital telephone services. Logical port numbering allows easy configuration of the pairs (four, five, and three, six) using the Molex Premise Networks KATT IDC connectors.
The device's 10-port unshielded harmonicas allow for patching up to 50 ports in only 1U, using standard UTP RJ45 patch cords. Finished in graphite grey, it is easy to terminate and is a cost-effective solution for voice installation environment.
