Most Successful SP (GOLD): Team Computers : Standing Tall Over Others

By grabbing the Most Successful SP award for the fourth time in a row, New
Delhi-based Team Computers has reinstated the trust and confidence that most
vendors and its own customers have placed on it. The fact that Team's was the
only company whose name came up for every award category also establishes the
consistency with which the company has been delivering varied services to add
value to their customers' businesses.

When it comes to services, Team's strength lies in technologies it offers to
its wide array of clients. These include network security, infrastructure
management, networking, cabling, software development etc.

However, this year, concentrating on virtualization up till storage level and
Business Process Management (BPM) gave a different dimension to Team's business
as the company continued to clinch new projects in this direction.

In a bid to identify the needs of the market and the potential areas of
business, Team put thrust on providing videoconferencing solutions. Solutions
around IP surveillance and managed services were yet other business areas that
helped it touch a revenue figure of Rs 230 crore in 2007-08 as opposed to Rs 175
crore in 2006-07. This was a growth of 31.5 percent in the last fiscal over last
year.

On the software front, Team concentrated on SAS including solutions around
predictive analysis and this boosted its business further. It took a conscious
decision to invest in manpower and added over 300 employees to take its
headcount from 1,200 to over 1,500. In addition, Team added new products around
SAS, videoconferencing, audio conferencing and board room solutions in 2008.

Though the company made its presence felt across the nation, yet North and
West witnessed major growth with nearly 44 percent of the company's revenue
coming from North alone, followed by 36 percent in West, 15 percent in South and
five percent from Eastern region.

Focusing on hospitality vertical helped Team spread its wings further and
cater to a newer set of customers. However, Team's major growth came from the
SME and SMB vertical with 45 percent of revenues coming from the same. The BFSI
vertical brought in about 30 percent of the revenue share. This included
projects for banks including HDFC, Fullerton India Credit, and City Credit
Union.

Team also went on to clinch the Dataquest Best System Integrator award in
2008 alongside the Best Metro Partner (North) Award from IBM and Most Reliable
Vendor award from Reliance, adding more feathers to an already overcrowded cap.

Buoyed by its achievements, Team will concentrate on doubling its revenue
figure in the coming fiscal.

With a number of projects (valued at Rs 20-30 lakh) in hand the company is
aiming at touching a revenue figure of Rs 345 crore in the next fiscal.
