Till date MPTCTA had a record of not holding elections, but selecting representatives by a nomination committee. Said a very enthusiastic out
going president of the association Vaibhav Nagori, "This is the first time in the history of MPTCTA that we
had to hold an election. The nominations were filed for three posts for which two people had applied in
each category and no one was relenting to take back their names. So we had no choice but to hold elections, which saw a marked participation of
98 members."
