Andrew Tsui, MD, ASUS India said, "We are thankful for the support of
our distributors and channel partners for participating in this event. As we are
walking quickly but steadily on the path of consistent growth in the Indian
market, we look forward to educate our channel partners in the cutting edge
technology benefits that the consumer line of products have to offer. With
unconventional products like the upcoming Eee PC, the word mobility would be
redefined."

ASUS has established a strong position in the component business and now is
looking at aggressively growing the consumer products business as well. The
company is planning to launch the Internet mobility gadget called the Eee PC,
which is aimed at the children and teenagers especially to integrate learning
with fun.

ASUS also entered the communication segment this year with the launch of its
PDA products. The product range is currently targeted at business professionals
and people who prefer complete mobility in the true sense of the word. The
company has test marketed this segment with a couple of PDA models and is
expected to roll out many more PDAs towards the year-end.
