The country's first national association for channels which came into existence at the first National Conference of IT Trade Associations organized by DQCI last year, has cleared all the back-office formalities like collection of funds, formalization of memberships, opening of bank accounts and application for registration. The scheduled meeting will discuss the constitution and lay down norms for the functioning of the association.

According to Chetan Shah, Secretary-NACIT, some non-member association representatives from Amritsar, Meghalay and Nagaland are also likely to join for the meeting. "Besides them many other associations have shown interest to join NACIT. But all of them are currently busy with elections of their own associations and hence many not join us immediately," says
Chetan.
