Nashik IT Expo in January

Nashik: The Computer Association of Nashik (CAN) will be holding a four-day IT
expo in January 2010. This year the association is planning to setup
nearly 150 stalls for the same. Talking about the plans for the expo
Ajay Sonar, Member, CAN explained, “Due to the recession, we could not
hold the IT expo last year. But we hope that this year we will get an
overwhelming response.”

Considering the tremendous response by the public in 2007 CAN is
expected to have around 70,000 to 80,000 people attend this time around.
“The main objective of this IT expo is to educate the public about the
new technologies and products in the market,” added Sonar.

Focusing on the fact that the computer market trends are changing
day-by-day and the present day consumer of IT products and services are
very computer savvy, CAN claims to evaluate all the options before
conducting the IT expo.

CAN will concentrate on the education and the corporate sector and
hopes to reach the expectations of these segment. The vendors who will
be displaying products include HP server, consumable storage,
cartridges, Samsung laptops and the products from Acer and Intel.

In order to attract people to the IT expo the members hold a lucky draw
competition every year. They distribute freebies and gifts to the
customers. “CAN IT expo is the best way to connect with the public and
display the products and we know this because of the positive response
we got from the public in FY 2007,” added Sonar.
