NASSCOM-ITAA to hold India-US information security summit

NASSCOM along with the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) is hosting an India-US Information Security Summit. The summit titled 'India and the United States: Protecting the Critical Information Infrastructure Alliance,' will be held in New Delhi on October 12-13, 2004. Minister of Science and Technology Kapil Sibal and US Department of Commerce, Under Secretary, Ken Juster will deliver keynote addresses at the summit.

The conclave aims to share practices and explore possible joint US-India programs and initiatives to strengthen information security and establish global standards for secure sourcing. 

Speaking on the summit, NASSCOM President, Kiran Karnik said, "The information security summit through panel discussions, case studies and keynote addresses will create a roadmap towards a risk-free environment, conducive for business transactions."

Protecting critical information infrastructure has become imperative in this emerging, always connected, always networked environment. The ITAA and NASSCOM seminar, will give attention to this issue.

The conference will feature case studies on cyber-attacks. Leading global organizations will share how they have prepared for and responded to serious attacks.
