Nasscom, the apex industry association of software and service companies in
India, recently announced the opening of its first regional office in Mumbai.
Rajiv Vaishnav who has been appointed as the Regional Director for the western
region for Nasscom would be heading the office in Mumbai.
Speaking on the occasion of office opening, Kiran Karnik, President, Nasscom,
said, "With the opening of Mumbai office, Nasscom would be aiming to work
more closely with its members in the western region as well as with the state
government. This will provide Nasscom a wider reach and make its activities and
initiatives more effective and promote greater use of IT at the grassroots
level."
Nasscom would be opening more regional offices during the year to enhance its
reach towards its members.
