NCR Systemedia has appointed SES Technologies as its first national distributor for the compatible cartridges business. NCR´s compatible cartridges are produced through a re-manufacturing process that includes inspecting the old cartridge, replacing all worn parts, and print testing the cartridge for quality. The plastic is normally recycled, but all the working parts are new. Sandeep Gupta, Country Manager, NCR Systemedia says, "Having pioneered the concept of compatible cartridges in the country, our objective is to spread the presence in markets across the country." While NCR Systemedia has been able to make inroads in the corporate accounts, this initiative is directed towards spreading the concept in the channels.

P K Krishnaprasad, CEO, SES Technologies adds, "We want to emerge as a one-shop stop in technology distribution and would like to explore the channel with this value offering."

NCR Systemedia is involved in product lines such as full-color stock and custom printed paper rolls for thermal and impact printers, business forms, thermal transfer ribbons, label products, laser cartridges and ink jet consumables. Of these products, the compatible printer cartridges moves through the IT channel, while the other products are sold directly.

SES Technologies has 20 offices across the country and two hub warehouses as a part of the 19 storage and warehouse facilities. It has a channel network of over 3,500 partners and is associated vendors like Intel, Molex, Kobian, Seagate, IBM, Acer, Sony, Compex, Enterasys, Maxtor, Promise and Lexmark.
