NEC a preferred solution vendor for Taj Group of hotels

NEC Corporation announced that NEC India (whose MD
is Koji Oda), a subsidiary of NEC, has been selected as a preferred
vendor by The Indian Hotels Company (whose MD and CEO is Raymond
Bickson), known as the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. In addition to
its selection, NEC also received orders for IP telephone systems for
another eight new hotels being constructed by the Taj Group this year
in India.

The IP telephony system is based on NEC's UNIVERGE
SV8000 series communication server that supports voice, unified
communications and mobility solutions. The server is capable of
supporting up to 16,000 endpoints in a single system and features
scalable and energy-efficient solutions that are ideal for a wide
variety of hotel needs.
