Netgear unveils wireless travel router

Rashi Peripherals has rolled out travel router WGR101. The 54 Mbps wireless travel router is 802.11b/g compliant. Measuring 0.7x2.3x3.4", the pocket-sized router incorporates an internal antenna to eliminate concerns of breakage during packing and travel.

The WGR101 incorporates both NAT routing and Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) forming a double firewall, VPN (IP-Sec and
PPTP) pass-through, 64 or 128-bit WEP encryption, wireless SSID suppression, and is Wi-Fi Protected Access
(WPA) upgradeable. It comes with an external switch, which lets the user select between single user, multiple user, and configuration mode. 

The router is priced at Rs 6,500 (MRP) and is available through Rashi Peripherals and its 36 branches. It comes with a small-scale power adapter and a carrying case with extra compartments for other essentials. Rashi is also participating in Netgear eight city training program (May 3-May 13, 2005) and all wireless products including WGR101GE will be on demo and display.
