Latest entrant in the business network platform, Nevales has acquired
Syntensia, which deals in on-demand security solutions. The company has
initiated pilot projects in Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. Ravishankar, Co-founder
and CEO, Nevales said, "We are targeting any SME, who has roughly 200 PCs, in
order to provide effective solution. Today, all companies face threat of malware,
spam etc. Most SMEs do not need any IT experts, they need simple security
solutions which we offer." The secure platform is delivered over the Internet
with free 24x7 support and is free from licensing, scalability and maintenance
hassles.
The company has a different marketing structure in place. Ravishankar said,
"We do not sell licenses for our products like everybody else. On purchase of a
basic box, we only charge implementation cost and depending on the budget, there
is a quarterly, half-yearly or yearly maintenance cost. Hence, instead of an
opex plan, they can choose to have a capex plan and decide on their
expenditure." Talking more on the acquisition, Ravishankar said, "We are on the
way of building whole services around security, VoIP etc. We always wanted core
security platform built around the needs of SMEs. Most of them require multiple
services like accounting, legal, transaction platform etc."
Nevales is also looking at adding partners to their portfolio. Ravishankar
said, "We are carefully selecting partners who have specific expertise in a
vertical. Bare minimum requirement is that the partner should have a loyal
customer base. Partners can enjoy growth along with us." Apart from SME, which
is a major revenue vertical, Nevales is targeting education, healthcare, exports
and supply chain distribution companies.
