It was the night for the winners. And the air was crackling with anticipation
of who these victors of the DQ Channels Choice awards would be. The ceremonies
were interspersed with dance performances by a troupe, Rhythm, which kept many a
foot tapping to the beat.

HP might have snapped up the Channel Champions 2006 Gold award, but Lenovo
held on fast to the Silver Award. Though the youngest vendor in the show
Lenovo displayed a stellar performance winning two Gold and two Silver
awards in the main categories. Vivek Malhotra took the Silver Channel
Champions award from Pradeep Gupta, Publisher and MD of CyberMedia India

gave away the Silver award for the 'Best Online Support' to Vivek

Lenovo
bagged the Gold trophy in this category. Vivek Malhotra stated that for a
year old company to achieve this feat is remarkable

Cisco bagged the Silver
award in this category for its well-planned training, certification and
reward systems. Avinash Purwar claimed this award from Dharmendra Jain

COMMERCIAL TERMS


For a one year old, Lenovo seems to have its processes well in place,
which is why the channel community gave it the Gold award in this
category. Vivek Malhotra of Lenovo accepted the award from RK Malhotra,
President of Delhi's Progressive Channels Association of IT

With better product
pricing, profitability, transparency in policy and quick settlement of
back-end incentives, APC walked away with the Silver prize in this
category. Anand Vardhan took the award from RK Malhotra

HP was voted as the most supportive vendor and walked away with the Gold
award in this category. Dipti Dang of HP accepted this award from RK
Malhotra, President of Delhi's Progressive Channels Association of IT

Partners who approach
vendors for increasing marketing spend found it as easy going with Lenovo
which bagged the Silver award in this category. Vivek Malhotra collected
yet another award for Lenovo from RK Malhotra

positioning. This award was given away by Shyam Malhotra, Director and

It's tough for a brand
like HP to go unnoticed and partners see it as prestigious to be
associated with such a brand. Dipti Dang accepted the Silver award in this
category from Shyam Malhotra
