NOIDA gets its first channel association

Formed with the objective of providing a platform to IT dealers community of the area, the Noida Computer Traders Association (NCTA) is Delhi's satellite town Noida's first ever channel association.



According to its founder members the association will work towards safeguarding the interests of its affiliates. At the moment only 18 of the 50 channel partners operating in Noida have registered themselves for NCTA membership. 



Revealing information about NCTA's origin and need for its foundation Pawan Walecha, President, NCTA said, “The growing retail and BPO presence in Noida has fuelled greater demand for IT products in the township. With the escalating demand pattern the trade was gradually progressing into the grip of unprincipled dealers who have mushroomed in Noida of late. To keep a tab on the activities of such elements we have decided to form a group that could fight for the cause of the fraternity unanimously. And that is how NCTA came into existence.” 



Dealers operating in Noida informed that in the recent times cheque bouncing and decamping activities have rocked the IT market of the township. The recent one was the Nigerian gang buying laptops through false credit cards. 



Walecha described how Ghaziabad dealers could get their money back due to their associations support and intervention into the matter when a gang of Nigerians duped Ghaziabad and Noida dealers in the beginning of this year by making purchases on fraud credit cards. 



Walecha lamented, “The Ghaziabad dealers had recovered their money back within 48 hours of the incident but the dealers at Noida had to run pillar to post in the absence of an active association. And now that we have established NCTA these matter would be taken up by the association giving a sense of security to our members.” 



Walecha submits that the meticulous working of Ghaziabad association had inspired Noida dealers to engage themselves under one banner in the form of an association.
