Novell ships Suse Linux to Greater China

Novell is introducing a range of leading Linux solutions from Suse Linux to
the Hong Kong, PRC and Taiwan markets, giving enterprise customers in the region
the functionality of open source in an effective and scaleable offering.

In order to provide Greater China customers and partners with the high
quality technical expertise needed for the Linux environment, Novell has also
launched its Certified Linux Engineer (CLE) program. This includes the CLE
Practicum exam, and the Suse Certified Linux Professional certification, which
recognizes expertise on the distribution of Suse Linux.

With this comprehensive range of Linux enterprise solutions and programs to
certify technical expertise on Linux-based solutions, Novell can offer customers
and partners the confidence they need to deploy Linux successfully and
strategically.

According to Dion Wiggins, Research Director at Gartner Hong Kong, the
acquisition of Suse Linux, completed by Novell in January 2004, gives new
opportunities to Novell customers considering Linux and open source solutions.
