nVidia launches Vista gadget competition

nVidia has announced the launch of nVidia Windows Vista Competition to design
gadgets for Microsoft Windows Vista. Visitors to http://www.nvidia.in
can answer
a short quiz and upload their gadget (Vista Gadgets are mini-applications,
written in html and JavaScript, which can be designed to do just about anything)
to win nVidia -powered graphics cards and goodies.

The top three gadgets will be awarded and the prizes include XFX nVidia GeForce
8800GTS, nVidia GeForce 8500GT and Sparkle nVidia GeForce 6200. Representatives
from nVidia and Microsoft who will look closely at entries and select winners
for their usability, links, design and use of nVidia and Microsoft elements will
judge the competition. In addition, every fifth person to correctly answer the
competition's three simple questions will win nVidia gifts.

According to Rajesh Goenka, Head of Marketing, India and Middle East, nVidia,
"This initiative is aimed at giving the end users the chance to win an
nVidia GeForce 8800GTS so they can experience first-hand how our latest GPUs
provide unparalleled experience on Windows Vista"

Commenting on the launch of the contest Rishi Srivastava, Director, Windows
Client Business Group, Microsoft India said, "Side bar gadgets enable users
to access anything they want in a simplified and convenient manner. Through this
contest, nVidia has opened up the possibility for users to develop more and more
innovative gadgets that will in the end benefit all other desktop/ Windows Vista
users.'
