Nvidia Corporation has announced that the company´s new Nvidia Quadro FX
2000 and the Nvidia Quadro FX 1000 workstation graphics solutions have been
selected as a distinctive graphics option for HP´s IA-32-based workstation
product line.
These two new graphics solutions are the first to feature a true 128-bit
floating point precision with an eight pipeline, fully-programmable graphics
engine to deliver higher levels of realism and interactive sophisticated
real-time effects for games, visual processing and other professional
applications.
"Nvidia
is pleased to continue to combine its years of vast graphics expertise with
HP´s leading-edge workstation products," says Jeff Fisher, Executive
VP-Sales, Nvidia. "The result is one of the industry’s most expansive,
fast and flexible set of graphics solutions that meet the needs of the
professional user," he adds.
The Nvidia Quadro FX product series achieves 3D graphics performance, which
is five times higher line performance than the company´s previous generation
products. This has been achieved by way of an efficient graphics pipeline
magnified by Nvidia´s patented cross bar memory architecture, enabling
occlusion-culling, lossless depth Z-buffer and color compression.
"HP is committed to deliver market-leading graphic solutions to its
customers, as soon as they become available," says Jim Zafarana,
VP-Marketing for HP’s workstations business unit. "The combination of the
HP workstations and the Quadro FX series should provide customers with a
powerhouse graphics solution that delivers the performance, stability and visual
quality they require," adds he.
