Ola to Launch AI Electric Scooter on the Independence Day at low cost low maintenance specifications for the ease of the commuters

Ola is set to turn from a rental vehicle platform to a manufacturer of EV. Its electric scooter is set to launch on the Independence Day. Booking for the  electric scooter is already open since 15th of July. Interested customers can visit the Ola website and pre-book the electric scooter for only Rs 499/-.

CEO Bhavish Aggarwal tweeted, ''Planning a launch event for the Ola Scooter on 15th August. Will share full specs and details on product and availability dates. Looking forward to it," he announced on his Twitetr profile.

Ola electric scooter is expected to be enabled with AI-enabled and have a large boot space.

The scooter will come in three categories - 2kw motor to give 45 kmph, 4kw motor to give 70 kmph and 7kw motor to give 95 kmph.

The scooter will take 2 and a half hours to charge at a charging station and 5 and a half hours to charge at home.

According to the Moneycontrol report, the company aims to set up a 500-acre factory in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri, and targeting to manufacture 10 million vehicles a year at full capacity.

With the petrol and diesel prices rising high, an electric vehicles fitted with smart IT apps is an ideal choice for the commuters. Nowadays there are battery charging stations coming up where uncharged battery can be swapped for freshly-charged battery, so that travel is not interrupted.

The government has issued a circular that EV owners won't have to pay money for the renewal of licence. Hence, ownig a low-cost EV is a good option to move fast, save expenditure on fuel and contribute to clean the environment.

Hence it's perhaps a good idea to try an EV. However, one must first survey the market and check the specifications before buying, so that one gets the best value for money.
