Oracle India will host the premier Oracle OpenWorld Conference in Mumbai on January. This is Oracle's global technology and business conference for customers, partners, business and IT decision makers. Krishan Dhawan, MD, Oracle India said that more than 1,800 decision makers, customers and partners are expected to participate in the event.
“The theme of the event would be Information Empowers. We have selected this theme, as information is the new currency in the global market. Indian companies are increasingly becoming a part of the global economy and are realizing the importance of empowerment through information to effectively compete at global levels,” he said.
The two-day conference will offer a total of 90 sessions covering 11 different tracks. The exhibition, named Exhibit 360 degree, will have 60 booths showcasing the latest technologies, services and industry-specific solutions from Oracle and its partners. The conference will be held at the National Centre for Performing Arts in Mumbai.
“In order to harness the true potential of information, organization need world class IT infrastructure and the conference will address those very needs,” Krishan said. President Oracle Charles Phillips, Executive VP for Asia Pacific and Japan Derek Williams and top Oracle executives will address the conference. Prominent industry leaders in India will also participate at the conference.
Oracle will also present its Oracle Excellence in e-governance Awards during the two-day conference. The awardees would be judged under several parameters including effectiveness of the e-government projects, innovation, relevance and the replicability of these projects.
