Pinnacle launches: PCTV Plus

Pinnacle Systems has launched the Pinnacle PCTV Plus. The PCTV Plus turns a
PC into a TV and a digital video recorder.

Instead of using a traditional video tape, the PCTV Plus records TV programs
in MPEG 1 or MPEG 2 format that can then be easily burnt on to a CD or DVD. The
card also enables a direct burn-to-disc of MPEG 1 or MPEG 2 streams. Still
images from the television or any other connected analog video source can also
be captured.

The card also comes with a timer to record scheduled shows.

Priced at Rs 3,500, the PCTV plus includes a T-Rex multimedia file converter,
the trial version of the Pinnacle Studio 7 video editing software and an
infrared remote control.
