PixelView introduces TV tuner cards

Mumbai: Prolink Microsystems, manufacturer of VGA and multimedia add-on cards
has announced the launch of range of new products for the Indian market through
its distributor Rashi Peripherals. The new range of PixelView includes PlayTV
Xpress, PlayTV Mobile and PlayTV USB 415.

Introducing the range, Sanjay Aggarwal, Dy. GM— Rashi Peripherals said, “With
the new range of TV Tuners from PixelView users will now have options to choose
from and will be able catch their favorite TV programs with ease and straight to
their laptops.” He further added, “With the new range, PixelView is all set
to tap the ever-growing markets for TV tuners especially in the upcountry
markets. Also we are targeting the laptop user segment which is growing rapidly.”

PlayTV Xpress offers PCTV entertainment with TV, FM Radio reception
supporting worldwide audio decoding standards (NICAM, A2, MTS, BTSC, and EIAJ.)
using the ExpressCard PCI Express interface. Additionally, Video/Audio stereo
Capture connects a VCR (VHS, V8 or Hi8, etc.) or game console to record or
monitor the videos to users laptop. Xtreme also supports PixelVeiw PlayTV Xpress
also supports Media Center.

The other model launched is "PixelView PlayTV USB 415" with USB 2.0
plug-and-play interface and fully compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista and
Media Center for desktop PC or laptop. "PixelView PlayTV USB 415" can
function as time shifting, schedule recording, auto scan TV channel with
PixelView PVR or Vista Media Center.
