Pointsec for PC 6.0 is now integrated with ActivIdentity Smart Card ID
solutions and ActivIdentity ActivKey, Pointsec's USB token solution.
"As workforces grow more mobile, the risk of exposing sensitive customer or
business information from lost or stolen laptops has become a major concern for
corporations and government agencies. By integrating our data encryption
software with ActivIdentity two-factor authentication solutions, we are able to
meet the growing demand for higher levels of protection against data breaches
caused by lost, stolen or discarded laptop and desktop PCs," said Peter Larsson,
CEO, Pointsec, provider enterprise encryption software for laptop and desktop
PCs, PDAs and smartphones.
Pointsec has integrated its Pointsec for PC solution with ActivIdentity smart
cards and USB tokens configured for use with ActivClient middleware and
ActivIdentity Applets. The complete data protection solution enables business
and government customers to thoroughly protect information stored on laptops and
PCs without the effort of a long and costly proprietary integration. ActivClient
software is leveraged by other security applications such as strong
authentication for network login, virtual private networks (VPN), dial-up and
web, as well as encryption and digital signatures for e-mails and documents.
