PROFILE:

G Nandini is
a COO of Coimbatore based Velmayil Innfo Services, formerly known as
Emerald Inffosys. Being the COO, she is involved in multiple roles
and looks after the complete operations of the organization like
administration, finance, purchase, marketing, HR and
customer/supplier coordination. Nandini has close to 15 years of
experience in the industry. She holds a Bsc degree in Maths, and has
also done MBA.

FAMILY
BACKGROUND:

Hailing from
a religious and traditional family background, Nandini got married to
N Gopalakrishnan, CEO, Velmayil Innfo Services after completing her
studies from Chennai. Besides IT business, the couple has other
businesses such as plastic raw material business. Interestingly, she
is the owner of two marriage halls in Coimbatore. Nandini is blessed
with two beautiful daughters, G Aishwarya and younger daughter G
Akshaya.

STRENGTH:

Armed with a
powerhouse of skills, she has been heading the company's management
division single handedly as well as balancing the family life very
well. She has a much focused approach towards work, along with
perseverance and a multi-tasking attitude. Moreover, she has always
been interacting with end-customers and finds meeting new people very
interesting. She has always tried to convert challenges into
opportunities. “Challenges are a mindset, and as such I have never
faced any setbacks. However, I believe that being a woman, it is very
important to get the support of the family,” says Nandini.

WEAKNESS:

For Nandini
handling multiple roles at the same time makes her nervous. Moreover,
issues like unhealthy competition and losing out good orders due to
cost competitivenes have created bottlenecks for her, but with her
sheer strength, she was able to get those customers back. “Pressure
handling was difficult earlier, but now it has become a part of my
life and I enjoy the work,” she says.

ROLE
MODEL:

Nandini gives
credits to her husband and her family for giving their support. In
her career, the support of her father-in-law GR Narasimhan, chairman,
Velmayil Group and mother-in-law Usha Narasimhan, CFO of the group
has been immense. She always gets motivational and valuable guidance
from them in bringing up the company as well as children.

HOBBIES:

She is fond
of cooking, teaching kids, and visiting temples. In her free time,
she takes part in social activities, as she is a member of Rotary
Club of Spectrum, Coimbatore.

CHALLENGES:

“As a COO,
handling customer service and employee management is the daily
routine on which I concentrate. Our company's motto is 'Sell
through Service,' and I am working hard to meet up to the best
level of customer satisfaction. I also try to build team's morale
and motivate them to perform better. Due to office pressure
sometimes, I could not spend more time with children and now I have
learnt to balance personal and professional life,” mentions
Nandini.

GOALS:

Her dream is
to make her company a good IT firm by offering end-to-end solutions
in the market.

FUTURE:

She believes
in living for today and hopes to take the company to new heights with
all her efforts. Her present focus is to concentrate more on laptop
service and for this she has recently tied-up with Exilient for their
authorized laptop service center in Coimbatore. Moving forward, she
is also planning to enter the IT support and services sector for
facility management services soon.
