ProCurve Networking by HP launched the ProCurve Alliance, a membership
program designed to offer customers security, mobility and convergence solutions
that have been tested and qualified for interoperability with ProCurve
offerings.
Four companies - Mitel, AirWave Wireless, DVTel and ShoreTel - are the
initial members of the ProCurve Alliance, with Mitel and AirWave recognized as
top-tier strategic members. Each Alliance member completed a rigorous
application process that includes technology certification to ensure solution
interoperability, simplified deployment and optimized performance. ProCurve
plans to add further member-companies based on customer needs.
ProCurve India Country Head Subhodeep Bhattacharya said, "The ProCurve
Alliance will serve to bolster joint engagements further, resulting in more
tightly integrated go-to-market activities, better communication of combined
capabilities, and a continued commitment to comprehensive support. This will
further add to ProCurve's strong capabilities in addressing customer needs by
creating formal, supportable alliances with key providers of products,
applications and services that are adjacent to ProCurve infrastructure
offerings."
Mark Thompson, Global Director of Sales and Marketing, ProCurve Networking,
added, "Customers want to work with vendors they trust and who can deliver
complete solutions to solve their business needs. Through the ProCurve Alliance,
we have created alliances that deliver tested interoperable solutions without
exposing organizations to unnecessary risks."
ProCurve Alliance members will work with ProCurve, the No. 2 networking
vendor in both ports and revenue, and be able to benefit from its
well-established and growing distribution channel. Resellers also benefit from
the ProCurve Alliance as they can offer customers comprehensive solutions built
on dependable ProCurve infrastructure that are certified as reliable, secure and
scalable.
