QAD starts Global Resource Center in Mumbai

QAD, Inc., a provider of enterprise applications for global
manufacturers, has announced the establishment of a new Global Resource Center (GRC)
in Mumbai. It will provide application support, consulting services, and
research and development (R&D) activities to support its MFG/PRO software
applications and other QAD products for customers worldwide.

Murli Shastri will lead the operations as country manager,
GRC, India, and the company has plans to recruit an initial 110 application
consultants, technical specialists and software engineers and other technical
resources to work at the new facility.

The Mumbai GRC will be supported by QAD's existing
development and resource centers in the United States, Australia, China and
Ireland. "The GRC is a critical and integral component of QAD's global
delivery model, providing our customers with more effective and efficient
consulting, development and support services," said Anton Chilton, Services
Director, QAD, Asia Pacific.

"Our operations here demonstrate our commitment to India
and also serve to reinforce and greatly enhance QAD's ability to deliver
cost-efficient global solutions and services," he added.

manufacturing industry and we foresee this trend continuing in coming
