Quadsel Systems : Clear Focus

Chennai-based Quadsel Systems posted a growth of 36 percent in 2007-08 over
the fiscal, and clocked a turnover of Rs 83 crore up from Rs 61 crore in FY
2006-07. Some strategic decisions in its go-to-market strategy played a key role
in this growth.

Quadsel's tie-up with Siemens product lifecycle management software for the
product lifecycle management was critical to the company's growth last fiscal,
as it enabled Quadsel to provide a complete range of services around PLM. The
company also entered into the ERP and CRM implementations space besides
developing their own business management solutions by forming an in-house team.

In FY-08, Quadsel bagged three major projects from MRF, HSBC and Mahindra
Holidays. In a project worth Rs 7 crore, Quadsel provided storage solutions and
hardware for the SAP implementation for MRF and hardware, and storage
consolidations for both HSBC Global and Mahindra.

While continuing the existing relationships with HP, Microsoft, VMware,
Riverbed and SAP, the major tie-up for the year was Juniper Security. There were
expansions on the geographical front as well as the employee's strength in
Quadsel.

The company widened its presence in South-Tamil Nadu and Kerala by going to
Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, and Trivandrum. It hired 50 new persons and trained
them from which 20 of them were put into development of business management
solution.

HP continued to be the top contributor for Quadsel this year too and
Microsoft followed. HP awarded Quadsel as the Best Storage, IPG Specialist for
its performances and was awarded as the best reseller by Riverbed. In another
major development in the organization, Quadsel has proposed to offer its
complete range of solutions including software as a service (SaaS) model very
shortly.
