Quantum launches DX30

Quantum Corporation has launched the Quantum DX30, a disk-based backup system
that emulates a tape library. With a combination of both hardware and software,
the Quantum DX30, features quick and complete backup, along with restoring
mission critical data on the network. By providing inter-operability with
existing tape libraries and minimizing the impact on existing operational
procedures, the Quantum DX30 can be deployed into existing backup environments
without disruption.

The
Quantum DX30 works hand-in-hand with tape technology, offering frequent end-user
backup because of the shortened window needed for backups. The product is
offered at an MSRP of US$ 55,000 (excluding local taxes).
