Quantum Corporation aims to double its revenues and increase its reseller base by June 2003. It plans to achieve this through its web-based reseller program ´Quantum Alliance´, targeted the SMB segment. Mike Sparkes Quantum, Product Marketing Manager, Storage Solutions Group, APac, says, "India is our priority in the APac region as far as business is concerned."
Quantum India contributes around 12% to APac revenues of country whereas countries like Korea, China and Australia contribute around 20%. The company expects a 100% increase in revenues from Indian sub-continent.
The company will also scale its resellers base to 100 from the current 40. At present, it operates in five cities -- Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and
Kolkata.
Ingram Micro is Quantum's national distributor, while Wipro and Apara are its premium value-added resellers. "We will continue to introduce innovative new products, enhance our sales programs and reduce costs. We will also pursue a set of structural changes that will enable more synergy across the company, further reductions in operating expenses, and general improvement in our ability to execute," adds Mike.
