Raid in Kolkata for unauthorized SAP training

 Mumbai: SAP India has announced that following a civil suit for
Infringement of Copyright filed with the High Court of Delhi, the court
appointed local commissioner conducted civil raids at Integrated Business
Solution Limited (IBS) - an unauthorized training institute based at Kolkata.

According to a SAP release, during this raid at the company's training
centres at Gariahat Shopping Complex, Rashbehari Avenue in Kolkata, it was found
that IBS was running unlicensed version of the SAP software on its computers and
servers. As part of the court order, the local commissioner, appointed by the
High Court of Delhi, seized all computers and servers.

 “SAP is committed to protecting the interests of students looking for
training in SAP technology, our training partners and the IT Industry at large,
said Alan Sedghi, President and CEO, SAP Indian Subcontinent. “SAP is
determined to crack down on institutes offering unauthorized training on SAP
software and the civil action instituted against IBS is one of the many actions
that SAP has instituted against unauthorized training institutes, across the
country. We are looking at further intensifying our campaign by working closely
with the authorities against these unauthorized training institutes.”Some of
the other institutes, which faced the crack down earlier include Indian
Satellite Research and Development Organization (ISRDO) at New Delhi, Growel
Softech in Noida, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Mumbai, SAPzen Consulting
India in Bangalore and Mumbai, and the Bangalore offices of NeoLogik and United
Systems India.
