According to the press release, the award is a recognition of Rashi's focus on channel expansion, non-metro business
development, SI channel mapping and cracking competition accounts which has played a key role in enhancing the
market penetration of the IBM ThinkPad products in India in 2003-04.

According to IBM Business Manager at Rashi Manish Aher, "The notebook has become a 'must have IT hardware' product.
It's acceptance is now not only restricted to the large enterprises, but we see an increasing demand from
SME and SOHO companies who are realizing the importance of being connected when on the move. The B&C class cities provide immense
opportunities for the laptop business." He further added, "Our success can be attributed to a
unique concept we introduced, 'Demo on Demand'. It is a value added facilitation provided to the partners, enabling them to showcase the
ThinkPad to their customers. The touch and feel factor helps customers understand the unique features of IBM ThinkPad and Think Vantage
technologies."

"The 'ThinkPad Distributor of the year' award is a recognition of our business partner, Rashi's commitment to IBM's ThinkPad
business in India. Rashi's reach across market segments through its dedicated network of
resellers in metro and non-metro cities is commendable," said IBM India personal systems group country manager - channels, Anil Philip.
