Rashi has introduced Microtek 3840 USB scanner, which is priced at Rs 4,999,
inclusive of all taxes and comes with 400-day warranty. The product has Sigma-6
CCD with six rows of sensors, instead of three. It also has three Smart-Touch
buttons for scan, copy and mail and comes with a 8.5" x 11.7" scan
area.
This Windows-platform scanner has a maximum interpolated resolution of 65535
x 65535 dpi. The system requirements are 64MB RAM (128MB recommended), Pentium
PC with USB port and Windows 98/2000/Me/XP.
The machine weighs 2.4 kilograms and includes a step-by-step guide with PDF
documentation for all of the hardware and software included.
Its true 48-bit input and output with 2400 x 1200 dpi optical resolution
scans up to poster size with great detail and highlights. It captures trillions
of colors for true-to-life color reproduction, delivering more subtle detail in
the highlights and shadows, that 42-bit scanners can’t see.
The accompanying software helps in fixing old, faded, scratched and torn
photos with included image-editing software. It can automatically scan photos
that open on any Windows computer Scanner.
