Red Hat launches Enterprise Linux v.4

Red Hat has made Enterprise Linux v.4 available now. This Enterprise Linux enables enterprise organizations to realize the benefits of open source innovation throughout their IT environment, particularly in the areas of performance and security. 

Red Hat India Director, Javed Tapia said, "Security Enhanced Linux and a new interoperable desktop are reasons for Indian enterprises to choose our Enterprise Linux 4 for their enterprise-wide deployments." He added that this Linux version 4 supports five Indian languages - Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil and Punjabi. These local language desktops will play a significant role in increasing open source and Linux adoption in India, crossing over language barriers and ensuring that benefits of technology are available to millions of Indians. The Enterprise Linux v.4 is now available in 15 languages worldwide.
