Redington appointed as Cyberoam UTM's national disti

Ahmedabad-based Elitecore Technologies, which has the Cyberoam Identity-based
UTM solution for enterprises, has signed up Redington India as its national
distributor for the country. Redington will promote the product through its
channel network of 500 security partners and Cyberoam's existing regional
distributors and resellers will henceforth work through the national
distributor.

The tie up is expected to generate revenue of over Rs.36 crore during the
current financial year, according to Elitecore officials. Anand Chakravarthy,
Head - Networking SBU, Redington (India), said, "Cyberoam, with its
identity-based security, is recognized as the only next-generation UTM product.
As such, it is a value-addition to our existing security offerings."

He added that Cyberoam UTM has a strong R&D and support base in India,
and these factors, in combination of its committed channel will help Elitecore
hold a leading position in the security market.

Cyberoam and Redington have claimed that they will work closely towards
enhancing its partner community with training, customers contact program,
workshops, seminars and other below-the-line activities to create top of the
mind recall among partners and customers. Talking about this Nikhil Jain,
President and COO of Elitecore Technologies said, "This is a major step for
Cyberoam in the Indian security market. Redington's dedicated channel network,
aggressive distribution strategy and proven supply chain management expertise
will enable us to take a major share in the Indian security market."

Elitecore, backed with the funds from a global private equity firm - The
Carlyle Group, is trying to make inroads into the Indian security market,
Cyberoam UTM currently has claims to have a customer base with more than 2,000
installations. The appliance is available in the range of CR25i to CR1500i,
providing network security to large medium and small corporations, educational
institutions and government organizations across more than 20 countries.
