Redington announced plans to organize a first of its kind IT exhibition.
Named Digital Expo 2008, the exhibition is aimed at providing a cost effective
platform for principals to promote their products and strengthen their
relationship with channel partners.
Sridevi TP, Marketing Manager, Redington India said, “This is the first
expo held by any distributor in the country and it is aimed at taking
distribution to the next level. This will be one of our marketing activities for
our vendors.” Digital Expo 2008 is said to be one of the largest trade
exhibitions in South India on computers, components, peripherals, Internet,
consumer electronics, software products, networking, computer education,
multimedia, telecom and mobile communication, and is scheduled to take place
from May 16 to 18 2008, at Chennai Trade Center.
Claiming that the expo would provide a mega arena to showcase the best and
the latest from the IT industry, Sridevi said, “Visitors would find offers and
exciting deals on all leading computer brands, peripherals, IT accessories,
networking products, telecom products, educational and entertainment software.”
She also said that the event would act as a single platform to network,
integrate, promote and establish one's product.
“It offers a unique opportunity to interact with both the influential
decision makers of the corporate world and affluent end consumers. As the
largest, most comprehensive event of its kind, Digital Expo 2008 is the place
buyers come to compare, contrast, source and select new products and services
facilitating on the spot purchases,” Sridevi averred. With Fujitsu, HP and
Intel being the primary sponsors for the event, Redington has also tied up with
various other major vendors like Wipro and HCL. The DQ Week has been roped in as
the media partner for the expo.
Redington expects to attract 30,000 plus visitors over three days from
different verticals. “We look forward to this event as an opportunity to
increase the sales for our vendors and providing a cost efficient platform for
the channel partners to showcase their products. This would be a value addition
from Redington for both the vendor and channel community,” Sridevi claimed.
