RR Systems has started another business, Vaidik Infotech to distribute and sell imported IT products. Announcing this Bharat Bhushan, CEO, RR
Systems says, "With this company we want to enhance our distribution network. Initially we will distribute
Kobian's Mercury laptops and Intel processors."
Nishant Arya who was earlier assisting Bharat in RR Systems will head Vaidik. RR Systems has another sister company
called Aryan Technologies and Telecommunications which takes care of peripherals and the services
business. With the launch of Vaidik, Bharat hopes to tap the fast Moving laptop market. "Kobian has the whole gamut of laptops, right
from the low-end to the high-end. Selling their brand will give us the advantage of tapping every market, be it corporate or home
segment," Bharat adds.
According to Sunil Sharma, MD, Kobian India, "Vaidik will be the regional distributor of Mercury notebooks in the North.
RR Systems' reach is precisely why we chose them as one of our two distributors in the
northern region."
Sunil hopes that with this alliance, the laptop penetration will improve, especially since Mercury is offering low-end notebooks for at
sub-Rs 30,000 price. "I am absolutely certain that laptops will overtake desktops in this country," Sunil opines.
Nishant says that Vaidik will import IT products from Taiwan and sell it in the country, within a month. "We are already
talking with some companies and would soon be importing USB drives," he adds.
