Samsung promises assured margin for corporate reseller

Samsung India Electronics' launched a "Assured Margin" rebate program for its corporate reseller partners focusing on its laser printers. The program that started on the 5th of July will run till 30th September 2003. The following products are covered under the scheme: ML1750, ML 2150, ML 2151N, SCX 4016 and SCX 4216F.

According to Farrukh Kazi, Product Manager-LBP & OA, this is one of the most radical programs for corporate resellers. It offers an assured margin of up to 8% on dealer transfer price based on various slabs. Detailing more on it, Farrukh explains, "If ABC Computers of Bangalore sells eight ML1750 model printers at a purchase price of Rs 18,000 and sells to the end-user at Rs 18,400, he gets an additional Rs 1,440 at the rate of 8%."

However, the rebate is based on printers/MFDs sold only to corporate customers and not based on printers purchased. The rebate will be offered against end-user purchase order copies, which need to be compulsorily submitted along with the claim.

This scheme is valid on purchases made from Samsung's national distributors: Redington India and Neoteric Info. The last date for submitting claims is 10th October 2003.
