The limited-edition Samsung SPH-n270 is an exact replica of the phone used in
the movie "Matrix Reloaded", with extra features. This tri-mode model
runs on the CDMA 800/1900 and AMPS 800 networks operated by Sprint PCS.
The
phone has a slide mechanism, which emanates a special Matrix-like sound from the
speaker as the top slides up. Its full height is 4.5 by 2.2 by 0.8 inches and
exposes the phone’s 128x160-pixel, 65,000-color, TFT color screen and shows
eight lines of text. There are 10 screens in the main menu which are associated
with different scenes from the movie.
It also has a task list, a world clock, a calculator, a calendar, and a
300-name phone book, to dial numbers manually or through voice activation.
An e911-ready phone, it enables usage of two-way SMS and has 15 preloaded
polyphonic and voice tones. The n270 is available online Samsung for $500.
