Sify conducts channel meet

Bengaluru: Sify started its channel initiatives about 18 months ago and continuing the same, it conducted an event specially for resellers. The main agenda was to recognize the efforts put in by the existing partners and address the relevant channel fraternity.

Anil Pant, VP-Channels addressed the gathering and spoke about the various initiatives undertaken by Sify. He spoke about the value propositions associated with Sify which included the four-point strategy of no initial investment, unlocking customer potential, no selling of competing products and setting up of annuity business. “Today convergence is the key word and the amalgamation between IT and Telecom is getting stronger everyday. Most telecom players are going the telecom dealer route,” Pant stated.

Sify has entered into enterprise applications, voice-enabled solutions coupled with hosting along with connectivity. The event was held in three cities Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai where various partners spoke about their association with Sify. Satyamoorthy, Executive VP, Sify also addressed the partners and gave reasons for their growth.

Pant also spoke about the growth of dealers and asked them to capitalize on their customer capital. He noted, “Most partners remain loyal to the company and don't poach business from us. This will help us to create a bond both ways.”

Over 80 organizations attended the event. Sify is planning to impart five or six training sessions in every region and every quarter, for the benefit of the dealers' community. Sify even plans to ramp up their sales team in lieu of their growth in 2010.
