Kolkata: Signaling the recovery phase, dealers across West Bengal are gearing up to strengthen their business in terms of product portfolio by adding new brands to their kitty. Taking cue, Softvision Infotech has recently taken up regional distribution for G-Data in the East. The move came after ACI Infocom, the national distributors of G-Data, decided to appoint Softvision as Star Partner for the East.
"G-Data offers superior technology in a low price range. It has unique features such as a double engine technology, which offers dual monitoring system," said Sanjay Poddar of Softvision.
With the anti-virus market saturated with numerous emerging brands, especially in the mid market low price segment, G-Data is aggressively looking to have a major market share by the end of this FY.
To help them achieve this, the company is distributing free trial versions of the product to end-users and has a feedback system incorporated.
"Normally, companies opt for a buyback policy in the anti-virus space. However, G-Data is providing the full software on a 30-day license version to any end-user. Only after the user is satisfied with the product's performance, he may choose to renew the license," Poddar added.
With this move in place, Softvision is targeting to sell atl east 5,000 boxes in the single and end-user pack by this year end. The company has claimed to have already sold 650 boxes in two months.
"We eager to override other vendors in terms of sales in the E ast. We are planning to bundle this product with a six month single-user license soon. However, the decision is still pending and we wish to implement it next year," Poddar concluded.
