New Update

SonicWall Inc has introduced the 24-port PRO 1260 Enhanced secure LAN switch, which enables each of the 24 ports to be independently and easily configured into custom security zones, or virtual firewalls. The appliance allows small businesses to deploy a single device, rather than a switch plus multiple firewalls to securely segment their internal networks. The switch is an intelligent LAN switching platform, managed through the SonicWall PortShield architecture enabled in the SonicOS Enhanced operating system.

PortShield allows the PRO 1260 to be easily configured into custom security zones, each with its own virtual firewall capability, thereby securing ports not only from the Internet, but also from other devices without the complexity of deploying complicated virtual local area network
(VLAN) architectures.

The PRO 1260 includes features that simplify management for IT administrators of all levels. A streamlined Web interface and suite of configuration and management wizards make it easy to use in any network environment. This appliance also integrates support for SonicWall's gateway anti-virus,
anti-spyware, intrusion prevention, anti-spam and content filtering to enable comprehensive, multi-layered security. The PRO 1260 Enhanced bundle ships with the company's newly released SonicOS 3.1 Enhanced, adding features such as
DDNS, a streamlined Web GUI and a comprehensive suite of configuration and management wizards. Every PRO 1260 is delivered with 30 days free trial of SonicWall's Gateway
anti-virus/anti-spyware/intrusion prevention service, network anti-virus and content filtering service,
VoIP, and anti-spam for true multi-layered security. The PRO 1260 is priced at Rs 1,12,000.
