SpikeSource India is gearing up to appoint channel partners in India and
expand its global footprint. Currently working with about 40 partners worldwide,
SpikeSource delivers open-source applications to end customers through its
network of solution providers. Speaking about the company's plans for India,
Ramesh Shastri, MD, SpikeSource, India said, “India is a very important market
for us. Given the huge SMB potential here, SpikeSource is working with the open
source community and software vendors on new applications, which bring
enterprise-class functionality at a much lower level of complexity and cost.
These solutions would be taken to the customers through the channel.”

over a period of time venture into the other towns as well. According to Shastri,
while they have not decided on the number of partners, talks have begun on
potential sign-ups, and over the next three to six months, SpikeSource would put
