StorageTek and Tata Elxsi partner to offer storage solutions

StorageTek, a storage services and solutions provider has announced the appointment of Tata Elxsi as its systems integration partner for the Indian market. This initiative will help StorageTek offer a suite of storage products along with the implementation expertise of Tata Elxsi for faster adoption of high-end solutions. 

Vijay Pradhan, GM - India Operations, StorageTek says, "It is important to create an entry point for customers in the Indian market, which is what our tie-up will do."

According to StorageTek, the alliance will result in cost-effective storage solutions along with flexibility to adapt to changing information needs of business. "This detailed approach of Tata Elxsi´s personalized service, is what will make this partnership compelling for customers," says Vijay.

With the system integration relationship in place, StorageTek now plans to make inroads into the media, broadcast, eGovernance, virtual reality design & development, and silicon graphics space. "Globally we are strong in these areas and we see this synergy with Tata Elxsi as a stepping stone to explore these niche verticals in the country," says Vijay.

During the current fiscal, Tata Elxsi is targeting a total contribution of 20% to its revenue coming from its storage business.
