Symbol’s new bar code scanner ideal for channel

Symbol Technologies has introduced a new handheld laser bar code scanner, the
Symbol LS 2200, based on a new technology, and containing other elements that
the company says makes the scanner ideally suited for channel distribution.

The new technology, the result of Symbol’s own long-term research, is a
liquid injection molded (LIM) scan element that contains no bearings, moving
parts or lubrication, and won’t be jammed by small particles. Made in a
one-step economical process, Symbol says the element is virtually
indestructible, and guarantees it for the life of the product.

The LS 2200 will be available to all of Symbol’s channel partners. It’s
also a product that the company says is particularly well-suited to the channel.

The scanner is compatible with all universal cables being used for other
retail scanners, because just by changing cables, you can interface different
kits.
