Syntech Informatics' significant growth of 350% for the previous fiscal of
2003-04 with a revenue figure of Rs 36 crores made it the fastest growing
company in East. In 2004—05, the growth rate declined drastically. With an
agency revenue figure of Rs 60 crore, the company could only achieve a handy 69
% growth.
As a solution provider, Syntech has managed to grow only 6% in 2004-2005
against that of 228% in 2003-2004.
The company took a major leap at the end of 2004-2005 by introducing its own
brand of PCs, Isyn in the Eastern Indian markets and is undergoing a lateral
expansion policy.
In spite of a sharp drop in its growth graph compared to the previous fiscal,
2004-05 helped Syntech achieve some key feats. Some important tie-ups that
happened during the year were with, Intel as Intel Premium Partner Intel, with
IBM as Premium Business Partner, with HP as their business Partner, with Novell
and Kobian as Technology Partner and Regional Distributor (East) respectively.
It also forged an alliance with Samsung as Star Elite Partner, with D-Link as
Business Partner and last but not the least, with Smart Bridges as Technology
Partner.
Some new product tie-ups are NEC, Sony, Seagate (Premier Business Partner),
Microsoft (ACP/Star Partner), and Canon (Business Partner). Syntech also bagged
some significant deals and deployed some major projects in 2004-2005. The most
important are with, West Bengal School Literacy Mission, West Bengal Police,
Steel Authority of India (SAIL), Several Engineering Colleges in WB, Simplex
Concrete Piles (I) Ltd and Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL).
Simultaneously, Syntech is ambitious about its own brand-Isyn. The company
plans to introduce TFT screen PCs, laptops and servers under its brand name and
is all set to launch its own laptop manufacturing facility in Bhubaneswar. The
solution provider is also planning to go national with Isyn by current financial
year end.
Apart from this, its other future plans include national as well as
international expansion by end Q4, 2006, to get into select consumer
electronics, expansion in IT and IT enabled services, partnering with world
technology leaders, technological research & consultancy and industrial
automation services.
But its biggest aim currently is to introduce a public issue by 2007. This
makes it a company to watch out for.
