Tech Mahindra expands operations in Chennai

Tech Mahindra has now enhanced its presence in Chennai by setting up a new
1.2 lakh sq ft development center located at Mahindra World City in Paranur. The
facility will house about 1,400 software engineers. The company expects to scale
up this facility, both in size and investments, in the next three to four years.
Tech Mahindra will leverage this new facility in Chennai to expand its telecom
R&D business in addition to development of its telecom application business.
The company will also service global telecom equipment manufacturers and telecom
services providers from this center.

The new development center will seat 400 professionals in the first phase and
has plans of adding 1,000 people in the next 18 months. The center will offer
state-of-the-art connectivity, video conferencing facilities, training centers,
food courts, an amphitheatre, recreation facilities, a swimming pool, a
gymnasium and a sports complex for its employees.

This is Tech Mahindra's seventh development center in the country; the
company already has centers in Noida, Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and
Hyderabad.
