Tech Mahindra Opens Unit for Corona Patients in its Pune Facility in collaboration with Ruby Hall Clinic at Hinjewadi, Pune for its associates

Tech Mahindra has announced the opening of a Corona patients care unit in its Hinjewadi, Pune facility to support the fight against the 2nd wave of Corona. Tech Mahindra will offer 25 beds, along with healthcare and pharmacy support in partnership with Ruby Hall Clinic at Hinjewadi Unit. The facility was made functional in the presence of Dr. Sudheer Rai, COO, Ruby Hall Clinic, Hinjewadi Unit. The Corona care unit will be open to associates and their families for healthcare support.

The patients will be treated and monitored by the doctors and nurses of Ruby Hall Clinic and will have access to essential services including food, pharmacy, oxygen and Wi-Fi, among others. Tech Mahindra has said in its statement that it is fully committed towards supporting the country’s response to the pandemic and help minimise its impact on communities, associates, and families across India.

Rajendra Kembhavi, Head of Human Resource, Pune, Tech Mahindra, said, “Maharashtra, especially Pune has been badly affected by the second wave of Corona. The launch of our Hinjewadi Corona care unit in Pune is a humble initiative from our end to stand by the Maharashtra government in their efforts to combat the current crisis and lend a helping hand to people in need. I also want to extend my profound gratitude to the doctors and nurses from Ruby Hall Clinic (Hinjewadi unit) for partnering with us in our commitment to serve people.”

Tech Mahindra recently launched an exclusive COVID-19 vaccination drive for its associates and their dependent family members as well, starting from Noida, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore. Tech Mahindra is also covering the cost of vaccination for associates globally and the third-party employees as well. Tech Mahindra has also defined stringent safety protocols and introduced several initiatives including a 24/7 emergency help desk to address requests related to hospitalisation and medication along with Associate Welfare Trust and health insurance cover for associates’ financial needs and COVID-19 related expenses.
