DESIGNATION AND COMPANY: GM, Dedicated Micros Asia
FREQUENCY OF VISITS TO INDIA: Since we started our India operations,
my frequency of visits to this country has increased. Now I find myself in India
every month.
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT INDIA: The food and culture of this country have
impressed me a lot. Once during my visit, I was offered 10 varieties of lassi at
one go. People here are courteous and very friendly. Their power to adapt to new
technologies is simply incredible. In the last few years, the way IT has taken
over the life of the common man here is worth mentioning.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT INDIA: The pollution level is very high.It
needs to be corrected. The heavy traffic too creates a lot of problem. Also,
people here are not punctual, being late for any appointment or meeting is
normal here. They don't seem to mind it at all.
WHAT I LOOK FORWARD TO IN INDIA: I hope Dedicated Micros is accepted
with the same fervor in India as it has been in other parts of the world. I
would like to see the security appliances of high quality fight terrorism in the
country.
ONE THING ABOUT INDIA THAT HAS STUCK TO MY MIND: One thing that has
really stuck to my mind is the ease with which the common man uses technology in
their daily life. I see people traveling in local buses or waiting at bus stops
carrying laptops on their shoulder. This is the sign of IT revolution.
