Computer Care in Kannur, Kerala, recently reported a theft in their showroom.
“The incident happened on a Saturday night. Usually we do not work on Sundays
and the thieves noticed. They broke into the shop on that day so that we would
come to know only on Monday. But since Onam festival has started in Kerala we
were working that Sunday. When we entered the showroom, we were shell-shocked as
we found four of our laptops, which were kept on display, missing. Only the
laptops were taken and the other goods and equipments remained untouched,” said
Mansoor, CEO, Computer Care.
Among the four laptops that went missing, only one contained the battery, the
remaining three did not have the battery or charger informed Mansoor.
“We have registered a complaint with the police and they have been conducting
enquiries. We have also passed on the serial numbers of the laptops to channel
partners asking them to refrain from dealing with products with the mentioned
serial number. And I am also requesting other channel partners to do the same
and inform me in case of any happenings immediately on my mobile (9895151001)”,
said a disturbed Mansoor.
